After noon five start-ups with smart and digital technologies for the hospitality market, amongst others Flissade, Floating Office and HeimVR, participated in the Techno-Pitch for the Upgrade Award. The prize was received by Floating Office, which enables to save space by moving furniture vertically by using an app.

At the same time Liam Brown, President and Managing Director Europe, Marriott International hosted the CEO workshop for a small group, while the results were presented to the whole audience in the afternoon. Prof. Christopher K. Anderson, Director Center for Hospitality Research, Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration gave insights in the "Drivers of Change in Hospitality" to be followed by a panel discussion with top experts related to this year's topic "Hotel & Co. Respecting and Rethinking Boundaries": Hannibal DuMont Schütte, STAYERY, Marcel Lindt, Accor and Dr. Steen Rothenberger, LINDENBERG HOSPITALITY.
